WILDLIFE AND BIRD PHOTOGRAPHY EXPEDITION
El Cielo, Tamaulipas, Mexico - Cloud Forest Wildlife, Caving & Culture Adventure.
El Cielo Biosphere Reserve Wildlife and Bird Photography Expedition: Join us as we explore this remote and rugged corner of northeastern Mexico, high in the Sierra Madre Mountains.
This extraordinary tour takes us up the old logging roads from the 40's that crossed the Sierra Madre into pristine cloud forest habitat.
El Cielo Biosphere Reserve offers a unique crossroads of different habitats that yield and unusual array of species, ranging from Military Macaws to Black Bears, Jaguars (rare and elusive), Red Brocket Deer (Tamazate), both Mountain and Elegant Trogons, and Thicket Tinamous, to name just a few.
We stay in the local villages of Gomez Farias to explore the lowland region, then travel to Altas Cimas and explore the El Cielo Bioshpere Reserve area. This trip involves hiking in mountain rural roads and trails. Scenery is breathtaking and bird life abundant.
