COSTA RICA 2010/2011
Wildlife Photography Expedition

(Keel-Billed Toucan vocalization)

If the thought of walking through lush tropical jungle in search of Jaguars, Tapirs, and Sloths sounds like the adventure of a lifetime, it is and it can be found in our Costa Rica Rainforest Itinerary. On this itinerary, we concentrate our visit in the montane rainforests of Parque Nacional Braulio Carrillo and the cloud forests of Reserva Biologica Bosque Nuboso Monteverde, two of the finest ecological parks in Costa Rica.

Birders in the group can expect incredible biodiversity, paralleled only by the forests of equatorial America. There's good reason for such biodiversity of birds, mammals, herpetofauna (reptiles), and plants - a broad variety of altitudinal zones, ranging from near sea-level to over 9500' within the parks. This provides the best chance for the keen observer to see the most famous Costa Rican bird, the Resplendant Quetzal, as well as a myriad of Toucans, Parrots, and Trogons, to name a few.

This 6-day/5-night trip begins and ends in San Jose, Costa Rica. Accomodations are at established eco-lodges where comfort and safety are assured. Join us for the tropical adventure of a lifetime in the jungles of Costa Rica!

This trip begins and ends at the San Jose, Costa Rica Airport (SJO).
