Expedition Wild Amazon Jungle Photo Expedition: Travel into the Amazonian rainforest to experience unparalleled species diversity, unique wildlife, and stunning habitats. This 7-day/6-night trip begins and ends in Quito, Ecuador with travel to a remote luxury lodge deep within the rainforest included.

After flying from Quito to our regional airport, we stop for a brief lunch near the river launch point. From there we travel in comfortable covered motorized boats from the western edge of the Ecuadorian Amazon down the Napo River a couple of hours to a luxurious lodge amidst the species-rich primary rainforest. Local native guides enhance the knowledge base, while gourmet meals prepared by seasoned chefs add comfort and luxury to this trip.

Photography instruction is given on-site, with Amazonian birds and animals in our viewfinders. This is followed up with nightly photo-critique sessions, where we analyze how well we applied the photographic theories we just learned earlier in the day from our personalized custom curriculum and on-site field instruction.

Daily trail hikes, visits to an extraordinary canopy walk, a tree tower, parrot nutrient licks, and stable dugout canoe excursions make up the core of our trip. Numerous species of monkeys, forest animals, colorful birds, and reptiles are our target species from which to learn and photograph.

The trip begins and ends at the Mariscal Sucre Airport in Quito, Ecuador (UIO).
