• About Jon Friedman's teaching style and approach to photographic theory:

My teaching style is relaxed and detail oriented, with an emphasis on learning what you need to capture the quality and character of photographs that are suitable for publication.

While it is easy to get overwhelmed by the amount of available information about digital photography, I help you to discern what's critical, and, as importantly, what's not.

"... I teach you how to make great photographs in the camera; not (merely) how to fix poorly shot ones later on a computer in Photoshop ..."

We learn incrementally and advance at your pace to achieve maximum knowledge retention. We focus on the essential photographic techniques that help you fully express ideas in your own work and achieve the quality results desired.
